Dog-related news from around the globe:

·         The UK Sun is a fabulous source for news. In what the über-tabloid is calling a "Sicko poo flag prank", German police are trying to track down whoever is planting miniature American flags in piles of dog excrement in Bayreuth (near Nuremberg). Why they're doing so is something of a mystery, as this practice is not illegal. "We have sent out extra patrols to try to catch whoever is doing this in the act," says a police spokesman, "but frankly, we don't know what we would do if we caught him red-handed." Uh, well I guess you'd let him go. Right?

(This isn't a new phenomenon, incidentally. It's just a far less creative version of this.)

·         Earl McRae likes dogs far better than cats. That doesn't really surprise me, I guess.

·         Thinking of adopting a dog from the Toronto Humane Society? I sure hope you like pit bulls!
